Computer technology has undergone revolutionary changes every decade since the 1940s.It's said that In 1833, Charles Babbage developed the modern electronics complicated computer after a long effort of a number of hardworking scientists. Charles Babbage (1792–1871) was an English mantmatician. He designed a mechanical computing machine called the "analytical engine". It is considered the forerunner of the digital computer, a programmable electronic device that stores, retrieves, and processes huge amount of data. In 1812, While attending Cambridge University Babbage conceived of the idea of a machine that could calculate data more rapidly and authentically than existing computing methods. After graduating from Cambridge, Babbage returned to the idea of developing a device to make more easer of the computing systme. Beginning work in 1834, he spent the rest of his life behind the developmet of his desire machine.
Types of Computers: Computers of the earlier years were very large like a big room. So, it required to consume a large amount of electric power.But now-a-days computers hav become very small like a table clock with the advancing technology. Depending on the size and power processing computers have been divided into various types. Now let us look the types.

Different types of Computers: Accroding to the operational principle of computers they are two types named as 1. Analog computer and 2. Hybrid computer.
1. Analog computer: Thes types of computers are not available today. analog computers are some what defferent from a digital computer. An analog computer can perform a few mathmatical operations at a time. Thes types of computer uses continuous variables for mathematical operations.It can use either mechanical or electrical energy. An analog computer is a form of computer that uses the continuously-changeable aspects of physical phenomena.

2. Hybrid Computers: Making a combination of two or more than seperate objects is called hybridisation. These types of computers are just a compbination of both digital and analog computers. Thes kinds of computers, the digital segments perform process control by conversion of analog signals to digital ones. In a word 'a computer system consisting of a combination of analog and digital computer systems' called a hybrid hybrid computer.
There are also some of the other important types of computers:

1. Desktops: These types of computers are personal computers designed for desktop use only. The seperate parts of a desktop computers are readily avilable at rilatively lower costs. They are widely produced in late 1970's and late 1990's. Desktops are more popular than laptops for rough use in workplaces and households. A desktop computer consists of a central processing unit (CPU), a keyboard, a monitor and a mouse as seperate units. There style may vary. However,desktop computers are small enough to fit in an individual workshop.
Desktop computers are four types such as Home computers, Personal computers, Work stations and internet servers and special communications computers.Desktop computers are known as microcomputers.

2. Laptops Computers: Laptops computers are very small to look at.Similar in operation to desktops, laptop computers are miniaturized and optimized for mobile use. Laptops run on a single battery or an external adapter that charges the computer batteries. They are enabled with an inbuilt keyboard, touch pad acting as a mouse and a liquid crystal display. Its portability and capacity to operate on battery power have served as a boon for mobile users
